Firefighters, also known as firemen, are rescue workers whose main duty is to extinguish fires, and to rescue individuals in danger, who might be stuck in a burning environment. They are extensively trained and are tested for both their mental and their physical vigor, so that there is never any uncertainty about their ability to perform their duties. Since they courageously put themselves at risk to keep the community safe, they are esteemed and held in high regard in most advanced countries.

Rescue is the very complex set of procedures and rules that determine how firefighters rescue endangered occupants, and endangered firefighters. Fire control involves putting out the fire by depriving the fire of those things that fuel it. Specifically speaking, the firefighters have to rob the fire of oxygen, of fuel, of heat, and of any chemical that may have combusted to cause the fire or fuel it further. Firefighters possess various important tools to help extinguish fires, for example firehoses, extinguishers, and substances that can neutralize different chemicals.

Firefighters, or firemen as they are sometimes known, endure comprehensive training and continuous evaluations and refreshers. They are the embodiment of professionalism and dedication to the public and are worthy of our gratitude and honor.
